This is the end of the second week of the Tisch Summer High School Program and boy have the students been busy!

The drama students are fully immersed in their studio training, attending classes like contemporary dance, hip-hop, movement, voice, self-scripting and screen audition technique.

The dramatic writing students recently attended a video game writing workshop and an acting class.

In between class time and shooting and editing, the film students have also attended a special effects make-up workshop.

Photography students attended a demo on the digital printing process, learned about lighting and are collaborating on a project with the Recorded Music students. Check out the Summer High School Photography and Imaging Blog.

This week Recorded Music students attended lectures by entrepreneur Justin Cohen of Cosmic Opera and curator Jack Walsh, and a history and criticism workshop with Jason King, artistic director of the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music. Read more on the Summer High School Recorded Music Blog.

But it hasn’t been all work and no play. Weekend and evening activities for our high school students have included a concert in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park, Broadway show Peter and the Starcatcher, a field trip to Governors Island and the Guggenheim Museum, and a dance an pizza party!
