Attention filmmakers and screenwriters: April 30 is the deadline for the DC Shorts Film Festival and Screenplay Competition!
Now it its 9th year, DC Shorts showcases the largest audience-driven collection of independent short films created by new and established filmmakers. MovieMaker Magazine has named the festival as “one of 20 festivals worth an entry fee,” and “one of the leading film festivals” in the country — year after year!
The DC Shorts Film Festival takes place September 6-16, 2012. The festival is open to filmmakers from around the world.
The DC Shorts Screenplay Competition which takes place October 13, 2012 is in its 6th year. A panel of judges consisting of filmmakers, screenwriters and critics will review and provide coverage (feedback) for scripts of 15 pages or less. About five to seven finalists will be featured during ScriptDC — the region’s largest screenwriting conference — where their scripts will be read in front of a live audience.
